Get healthy, fit, and have fun at your first workout class!
Welcome to CenterBarre! We know that starting a new health and fitness journey can be daunting, so we thought we would share some tips before you start your first workout class at CenterBarre.
Expect friendly faces
We value our community at CenterBarre. Every day new friendships are made, and connections established. Our staff and community are embracing and welcoming — so expect your instructor to know you by name, and for your classmates to cheer you on during your first class.
Wear something comfy
Wear comfortable clothing to your first class — no, this is not a fashion show! You will be stretching and strengthening, so wear something that allows you to move freely.
No shoes needed! Our studio is equipped with memory foam and carpet, so leave your shoes in our changing room. We do the entire workout in socks — allowing you to strengthen and stretch as naturally as possible. Sticky socks are helpful but not necessary. And if you forget socks, no worries! We have sticky socks for sale in the studio.
Sometimes we turn the lights off
Our Barre in the Dark class, offered Monday nights at 5:30pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm upon client request, allows you to get even more centered. With the lights low and the music high, we take the distraction of the mirror away to allow you to work even deeper and focus on “you” during your workout. You may be surprised how this simple change alters the vibe entirely!
Fun AND Fitness- Really?
We love what we do, so yes, you will have fun! We value our relationships with our clients, and we customize each class to meet our client’s needs. Our specialized playlists set a motivational and fun tone for each class — and clients love them! We believe fitness should not only be good for your body, but enjoyable and sustainable.
Remember, you are only a beginner once — take the journey to a leaner, healthier, and stronger you, and come join us at CenterBarre! Contact us if you have any additional questions for your first class. See you at the Barre!
