You work so hard in class to feel and look amazing during your travels, but what do you do when you’re thousands of miles away from CenterBarre? Here are our tips to keep fit while traveling as you set out on your summer adventure!
Our mantra, “Safe, Effective, and Efficient” really does pay off; as we always say in class, you are stronger than you think! Don’t be afraid to try something new. You might be surprised at how well you’re able to hike, swim, kayak or anything else!
Something Active Everyday
Wherever you are, it’s easy to incorporate some movement and physical activity with just a little planning. A long evening or morning stroll can burn tons of calories and help you enjoy your new surroundings. Pop in some stairs or a hill and you’ll maintain your seat work!
When in Doubt, Plank It Out
Planks and push-ups are the ultimate core and upper body exercises. And great news – you can do them anywhere! Try incorporating a 1-minute plank and 20 push-ups every morning and night. Your arms and core will thank you.
Find the Barre Wherever You Are
Look around you, a table, a chair, a hand rail… the list goes on. There are barres everywhere that can be used for a quick set of thigh work when you’re in need of that barre fix. Zip your feet and legs together, lift your heels bend your knees and pulse for 50 counts to give your quads and inner thighs a little blast.
Don’t Forget To Stretch
Planes, trains, buses…what do they all have in common? Cramped legs and stiff backs from sitting for too long! Make a habit of doing your favorite stretches from class every night and you’ll feel much better!
